Employees as Mentors
Employees who are encouraged/allowed by their employer to volunteer in the community tend to feel more positive about their jobs and their employers. Employee morale also improves and the employees enjoy sharing their volunteer experiences with each other. Work production and employment longevity improves and everyone benefits!
Our site-based programs, which last only 1 ½ hours once a week during the school year, lend themselves to employees coming from work to mentor kids. Some Butler County employers, such as First Financial Bank and Cox Ohio Publishing, are allowing their employees to mentors kids in our site-based programs during work time.
Big Brothers Big Sisters staff are available talk with your business’ leadership team about providing information to employees about mentoring. Contact Julie or Jessica to learn more.
