About Us

Welcome to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County Ohio!

Do you remember a special person who brought excitement to the everyday, broadened your horizons and put little moments of magic into your life? By becoming a volunteer mentor, you can do the same for a child, and you will both be forever changed by the experience!

Children need adult friends to help guide them through life's many obstacles. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County has a rich history of nurturing friendships between caring adult volunteers and children. For over 40 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has made a difference in the lives of thousands of Butler County youth through our mentoring programs.

A Little and a Big

If something were 97% effective, wouldn't you invest?

Independent research (Tierney, et al, 1995) shows that, compared to their non-mentored peers, Little Brothers and Little Sisters are:

  • 52% less likely to skip school.
  • 46% less likely to start using illegal drugs.
  • 33% less likely to use violence to solve problems.
  • 97% less likely to be involved with juvenile authorities.

We are the only outcomes-based mentoring program in the county with a proven record of transforming the lives of our children, their mentors and our communities.
